How does the Pro Plan billing works?

Dust Pro Plan pricing is per seat; any additional member will be billed prorated based on the anniversary date of your account:

  • We bill monthly, upfront, based on the seats that are active at the beginning of the month.
  • We add the usage fees of users that were added in the middle of the past month, on a pro-rata basis, to the bill of the following month. We also subtract usage fees of people revoked from your workspace in the middle of the period.

Here is an example:

Let's assume you have 2 licenses at the start of your pay period which is Sept 3rd - Oct 2nd. Let's assume you add a license on Sept 18th.

  • On Sept 3rd, you get charged upfront 2 x 29 EUR (excl. taxes) for the September pay period
  • On Oct 3rd, you get charged upfront 3 x 29 EUR (excl. taxes) for the October pay period and you get charged retroactively 1 x 14.5 EUR (excl. taxes) for the added license of the September pay period (cost of 15 days of activity = 29 x 15 / 30 )

What happens when we cancel our Dust subscription?

When you decide to cancel your subscription to a Dust paid plan, your subscription remains active until the end of the billing period. Once that period is finished:

  • Your subscription will be downgraded to our free plan;
  • All users except one will be removed from your workspace;
  • Your connections will be deleted;
  • The rest of your data (conversations, custom assistants, custom datasource) will still be accessible but with multiple limitations.

Below are answers to most common questions on what will happen, with all the necessary details.

Will we continue to be able to use assistants, connections, datasources, etc.?

You will be switched to our free plan, and be subject to its limitations, as described here. In particular, as mentioned above:

  • All users except one will be removed from your workspace;
  • Your connections will be deleted;
  • The rest of your data (conversations, custom assistants, custom datasource) will still be accessible but with multiple limitations.

Which user will remain after the downgrade?

The user who was given an admin role the earliest. This will typically be the person who initially subscribed, unless they were removed or their role was changed later.

Should you like another user to be the one that remains instead, please remove all other admins, either by revoking them or by downgrading their role to user or builder, before your subscription ends.

What will happen to our connections (Notion, Slack, Google Drive...)?

They will be deleted, along with all the related data that was synced on our servers. Of course, all the original data is still available to you via the data providers themselves (Notion, Slack, etc.), Dust won't and can't alter the original data.

What will happen to the dust slackbot?

It will be removed.

What will happen to our users' conversations?

The remaining user's conversations, as well as former users' conversation links, will remain accessible. However, the ability to interact with these conversations will be limited due to the restrictions of the free plan. This means that while the information within the conversations can be viewed, new interactions or continuations of these conversations will not be possible will not be possible once the number of messages since the creation of the workspace exceeds the free plan limit.

What will happen to our data sources and the documents we uploaded in them?

Your data sources and documents will not be automatically deleted, except for datasources with combined data over 50Mb. Those will be deleted after 7 days (you will be warned by email)

If the total number of your data sources and documents exceeds the free plan limit, you will need to delete some data until you are within the free plan limit. If you decide to resubscribe, your data sources and documents will become fully accessible again.

What will happen to our custom assistants?

Your custom assistants will be deactivated upon downgrading to the free plan. If you decide to resubscribe, your custom assistants will be reactivated and will function as they did prior to the downgrade.

What if we want to reactivate our subscription?

If you decide to reactivate your subscription, you can do so via the subscription page, accessible under the Admin tab. Upon reactivating your subscription, all previously limited or inaccessible features and data will be restored. This includes access to multiple users, connections, data sources, and custom assistants.

What if we want to delete everything?

If you want to delete all data associated with your Dust account, you can send us an email at [email protected]. We will delete your account and all your data, except for those we are legally bound to keep (such as invoicing data). However, please note that this action is irreversible and all data, including custom assistants, data sources, documents, and conversations, will be permanently deleted

If you have any further questions or concerns about downgrading your Dust subscription, please don't hesitate to contact us.
